o190 A large terra cotta head fragment from an Olmec figurine. The hollow head exhibits strong classic Olmec traits showing a chubby cheeked face with wide nose, two beads below, probably suspended from the septum; bound conical skull with two tufts on top and one at forehead; ears with small earflares; and typical cross-eyed pupils which were achieved by tying a stick with a dangle at the baby's head and was indicative of beauty later in life. Fragment is broken at the neck in ancient times otherwise intact and retains much dark red pigment. 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide, this head could have come from a figurine probably around 8 inches or more in a seated position. Honduras, c. 800-400 B.C. On custom walnut stand. $250.00

FS133 A nice bird effigy shallow container painted in deep red and black with some remaining white highlights. This early Panamanian effigy stands of four short pointed legs supporting the central bowl and is accented with wings, tail, and short bird head. Effigy vessel is intact, excellent condition at 1 3/4 inches tall and nearly 5 1/2 inches wide. Most likely, a Zahina vessel. Central Region of Panama, c. 200-400 A.D. $350.00

FS104 A vibrant Cocle pedestal bowl polychrome painted in deep red, cream, black, and purple with three triangular panels of a snarling feline head. As is standard for such examples, this piece is repaired from seven large pieces, one small area rebuilt, with repaint over cracks and matching on both sides. Very decorative example from the F. Stegmeier collection. Panama, c. 800-1500 A.D. $850.00

o150 A fine little seated Preclassic figurine with large head showing wide rounded olmecoid eyes, large nose, and smile on lips. The gray terra cotta figure is in solid, excellent condition at 2 1/4 inches tall. Such solid body figurines are documented to be from Pacific Coast of Guatemala Olmec period sites, c. 400-200 B.C. $300.00

o152 A buff solid body Preclassic figurine of a seated male hunchback with legs crossed, arms at sides and forearms resting on thighs. His large face is crafted in an Olmec style with round eyes, a prominent nose, one side of head with lengthy gathering of hair flowing on backside, and, interestingly, with large hump on right side of back. Sits 3 1/2 inches tall. Figure has restored left arm, several small surface nicks and a couple light surface hairlines. Retains calcified ancient deposits in crevices. Pacific Coast of Guatemala type, c. 400-200 B.C. $350.00

BE102 A large sized 'uniface' dagger in a veined chert with half in a pale gray, other side with darker gray and between the two is a bullseye vein in cream. Quite out of the norm coloration to see.
