Overall with strong patina, great finish, and with mineral depositing inside and out. 5 3/4 inches tall with 5 1/4 inch diameter. Cup has one long light stress line with a chip on inside of rim and one much smaller light line nearby, else intact. A beautiful example. Southern Lowlands of Guatemala, c. 200-600 A.D. $300.00

M2-5-305 A beautiful solid condition Peten region offering bowl, the flaring outside polychrome painted with abstract Chac heads in a stair step design and a series of glyphs in a rare plum color behind. Separating the Chacs are two panels in brilliant orange, white, and black with numeral designations. The underside with black band containing an orange underbelly and interior, well pitted from moisture, retaining a large portion of two toned orange decoration. Vessel would have held offerings for the afterlife and is intact, excellent condition at 3 inches tall with 8 3/4 inch diameter. Peten type, Guatemala, c. 600-900 A.D. $900.00

M4-191 A Choice Mayan bone carving in typical Late Classic style carving showing a well detailed deer. Carving is drilled twice for suspension and is sculpted in a codex style representation with large central eye, furry jaw line, parted mouth, and bulbous nostrils and looks ready to run! Three inches long and overall with strong patina and intact, excellent condition. Rare and fine carving. Peten region of Guatemala, c. 600-900 A.D. On custom stand. $500.00

A732 A fine bi-facial flint knife chipped in a veined caramel color chert. MP224 A fine 'copador' bowl polychrome painted with band of alternating seated coatamundi deities and chieftains. The interior features band of turkeys surrounding a central tied knot glyph. Painted in red and brown on a cream base and the sturdy thick walls has contributed to the condition being excellent, intact and undamaged condition which is quite scarce. Painted with finer detail than most and with very nice patina, ancient deposits, and good ancient wear. Sits 3 1/2 inches tall with a 7 3/4 inch diameter. El Salvador, c. 600-900 A.D. $900.00

MP207 A fine Mayan jade pendant in a stunning and choice spinach green material holding a high polish. The face carved with a bold Maya chieftain with round nose, down turned mouth, wide eyes and surrounded with a tall plume headdress, ear flares to sides, and bib under chin. A highly polished and worn carving, the piece has ancient breaks to all sides and would have come from a larger carving. As has been frequently found, jade idols and pendants were sometimes broken to extract a smaller piece to be used differently or given parts of the important jade to others as offerings. The pendant here appears to have begun as a celt shape, the backside with a thicker formed middle tapering at the bottom and becoming much thinner and allows for the stone to teeter and spin on a flat surface. Possibly a shamanistic 'charm stone'. 2 1/4 inches tall, over 1 1/2 inches wide. Guatemala, c. 600-900 A.D. $2,200.00

A636 A large thin pottery bowl with a burnished brown interior and orange exterior with red painted temple designs surrounding the rim. A nice quality vessel retaining strong patina and light mineral deposits. Offering bowl sits on a slightly rounded base with a 9 1/4 inch diameter and approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. Reglued from two large pieces and missing a small shard. Marked on underside 'Mexico, Chilapa Site, 700-900 A.D.' The site of Chilapa lies in the modern state of Tabasco and near the important Maya site of Palenque. Mexico, Mayan, c. 600-900 A.D. $225.00

W243 A fine heavily patinated spear or lance head in uniface style and struck very thin, only 1/2 inch thick, with sharp edges and tip, very symmetrical. At just over 7 inches long this would have been a very imposing weapon that could easily penetrate thick reptilian skin if necessary. In excellent, undamaged condition and covered with ancient mineral deposits and patina. Marked with 'Belize' on handle from old collection. Belize, c. 200-600 A.D. $350.00

M4-190 A choice and rare bone effigy pendant depicting an alligator or iguana. This fine carving measures 4 3/8 inches long and is shaped in the reptile form with a spiny back, legs, and a long up bent head with toothy mouth. Retains two small obsidian high polished plugs, one for the eye and the other midway inserted in the neck. Drilled twice for suspension on the top and rear side of carving and appears to have had the tail broken in ancient times and re-ground. In excellent condition save a modern break to the rear foot. Fine and rare find. Overall with strong ancient patina. Guatemala, c. 400-600 A.D. $850.00

M2-5-304 A nice sized Mayan offering bowl with bright orange surface inside and out. This excellent, intact vessel has a 'ring like a bell' condition with only one tiny surface hairline at rim. Sits 5 inches tall with a diameter of 7 1/2 inches. The carefully crafted vessel has a squat form with a thin wall, the exterior with incised bands and five equally spaced small nodes, each connected with a sash-like incised line. Overall covered with strong ancient mineral deposits and light root markings.Very difficult to find in such wonderful condition. Southern Lowlands of Guatemala, c. 200-600 A.D. $350.00

JC214 An Exceptional Maya cup sitting 6 inches tall painted with a codex style black outlined intricate scene. Depicts many undulating loose eyeballs contained in an underworld scene floating through a stair stepped temple maze bridged by two large panels containing a fine glyph in each. The scene is painted in deep black and bold blood red on a creamy yellow base. Vessel is intact, excellent condition with a few areas of light surface losses, one stable light separation at upper half from rim and covered inside and out with ancient deposits, heavier encrustation inside. The exterior has been lightly coated in wax to protect any flaking paint or losses and also bring out the bold colors. A stunning and scarce vessel. Peten, Guatemala, c. 600-900 A.D. $3,800.00
