 A807 A lovely intact and solid condition Narino painted jar. The rounded base is painted in black with a thick red circle, the midsection narrowing to the neck and painted with horizontal wide red and black bands, the rim painted in red. Jar is overall with a smooth stone polished beige surface holding a strong ancient patina and interior covered in ancient deposits. Sits upright on its own at 5 1/2 inches tall and approximately 6 inches in diameter. Narino, Colombia, c. 800-1200 A.D. $185.00

 

 MH261 A large standing Chancay 'Cuchimilco' votive statue in painted terra cotta showing a male figure with a large face with tapering jawline, a plumed headress, the arms raised upward, and the torso with wide painted crossed bands. Interestingly, at the top three peaks of the head, each has a hole, two retaining remains of feathers. Statue measures 15 inches tall, a tiny probe hole in the forehead, and the right leg with a cleanly reglued break, else minor surface erosion. Chancay culture of Peru, c. 800-1200 A.D. $550.00

 

 MH262 A Moche IV mold made spouted bottle with a low relief panel around the squatty base showing a scene of warriors carrying shields and weapons and engaged in a battle. Bottle is painted in brown and cream standing 7 inches tall, with repairs to the handle and spout, the upper one inch of the spout with fill, and appears intact and excellent. Moche, Peru, c. 450-700 A.D. $375.00

 

 MH263 A massive Chancay 'Cuchimilco' statue at 22 1/4 inches tall and 12 inches wide, made in hollow buff terra cotta. This unusually posed male figure has a large face wearing a tall cap, the mouth open wide, possibly indicative of singing or chanting, the arms raised with paddle-like hands, and supported on long tube legs. Figure is overall painted in cream and with brown designs including bullseye designs on the front and back of arms as well as the back of the legs, and on the back are large fish depictions. An impressive and decorative statue, the surface retaining much calcified deposits and staining. Effigy has the nose, right arm, and penis reattached with matching fill over the lines while the left arm and right leg are reattached cleanly. $900.00

 A650 A wonderful Lambayeque grayware spherical shaped bottle on a geometrical carved flaring base. The upper body featuring a central king figure, the spout emmanating from his crown, two feline heads adorn his sides. Surrounding him are four relief humans with upraised heads, the handle with a fifth human, his head missing from ancient times. In solid, excellent condition at 8 1/2 inches tall. Creates a low base bellow when lightly blowing into spout. A high quality ceramic. Sican, Peru, c. 700-900 A.D. $600.00

 

 A702 A Rare solid body Proto-Nazca female figurine standing 7 5/8 inches tall. The figure stands upright with arms in low relief against the chest with the body overall decorated in a deep red and painted with black oval designs on the stomach and legs. The bold face has slit eyes and mouth, a prominent nose, with the cheeks painted with white vertical stripes , and the forehead and backside in black. This example has the left leg reglued from a clean break, the neck reglued from a clean break, nose has some chips, and some repairs across the torso. Comes with custom lucite stand. Ex.  A761 A tightly woven textile fragment with openwork design in dark brown, red, gold, blue, and cream showing a geometrically formed man in a dance pose holding a tumi knife in one hand, a wave design below, and red panel behind. Fragment is cut from a larger shirt and measures 7 1/4 inches long and 4 inches tall. Comes professionally mounted on a linen covered frame and is ready for hanging making an overall 13" by 10" display. Ex. Jean-Eugene Lions collection, Geneva Switzerland.  A712 A Huari shallow cup in an orangeware base polychrome painted on the flaring exterior with a twice repeated panel depicting a menacing triangular headed fish or abstract mammal deity with an open mouth exposing a half circular tongue and long horns emanating from the back of head. Vessel sits 4 1/2 inches tall with a diameter at the flaring rim of nearly 4 3/4 inches. Polychrome decorated in deep reddish, white, black, and orange. Cup exhibits some expert matching repair over a few reconstructed shards, a few nicks and abrasions to the rim, and one light stable stress line unrepaired. Huari culture of Peru, c. 600-900 A.D. $275.00

 

 A724 Stunning and vibrant orange Chavin bottle. The spherical body sits on a flattened base and surmounted with a tall stirrup spout. Body painted with brown and cream bands and semi-circles, possibly representing stylized human faces showing the outline of the face, bridge of nose, eyebrows, and eyes. A wonderful and colorful example sitting 8 3/4 inches tall and solid, intact condition with a few surface scrapes and strong ancient patina. Chavin, Peru, c. 400 B.C. $800.00

 

 A615 A scarce Chavin grayware bottle with an atypical depiction of conjoined fish. The flaring body comes to a recessed flat top with two nicely detailed fish facing each other, each with bulging eyes, down turned mouths, nostrils, and gills. The flattened topside is further detailed with scales terminating at the extending tails. From the top view it would appear as a flounder but from the side is definitely two fish. Bottle stands nearly 8 inches tall with expert repair to the base and top inch of spout and appears mint. Surface holds strong patina and with ancient pocking to neck.  A509 A Moche gourd effigy stirrup spouted vessel in a large size at 10 1/2 inches tall, the vessel body with an approximate 7 inch diameter. Molded with high relief ribbing terminating at pedestal base and decorated in cream diamond forms on the polished orange base. A very decorative and good sized vessel in excellent condition. The top spout repaired at bridge and tiny nick at rim else solid. Peru, circa 400-700 A.D. $400.00

 

 A753 A scarce Cajamarca culture bowl. This interesting and decorative pottery bowl sits on a short base with a wide flaring body, the exterior original buff while the interior is polychrome decorated in cream, black, and red with two large faces, a central circular design, and other triangular panels emmanating at the rim. Vessel sits approximately 2 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches across and is expertly repaired from several pieces with a few areas at the rim modern fill. Cajamarca, Peru, c. 800-1200 A.D. $250.00
