A688 A Nazca belt or sash fragment with a tightly wove raspberry colored background and a central band in brown, cream, deep gray, and raspberry with panels of alternating long beaked birds and geometric designs. On each side are bands of florets contained within rectangular panels. Very attractive. Example is an 18 1/2 inch long fragment but with finished ends that would have been threaded to other pieces. Mounted on a frame with stretched linen and ready to be hung on a wall. Frame size is 22 1/2 inches long by 7 inches wide. Nazca, c. 400 A.D. $250.00

A729 An intact and complete Chancay textile head band in a deep red with alternating depictions of birds in gold, half of them in yellow, the alternate in red and contained within a yellow panel. Example is finished on all sides with only minor staining. Measures approximately 1 1/2 by 20 inches long and comes professionally mounted on a beige linen wrapped frame and ready to hang. Chancay, Peru, c. 1100-1400 A.D. $200.00

A670 A scarce large Sinu culture figural rattle. The effigy depicts a woman with an exaggerated head with slit eyes and mouth, reed formed earflares and bellybutton, with fat legs, and loop arms connected to the thighs. The hollow closed figurine contains original rattle beads. Example is in a buff orange terra cotta with strong root markings and mineral deposits overall. Nearly 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches wide. Ancient chips to backside of headdress, and expert matching repair to arms and area on backside of head. A very unusual example. Comes with custom cherry stand. Sinu of Colombia, c. 600-1200 A.D. $500.00

A699 Miniature bronze Inca jar, probably used for paint or grease. This interesting small vessel is formed to a squat round body with a wide opening decorated with only a light band at the mouth. Vessel sits 1 inch tall with a diameter of 1 3/4 inches. Overall covered with heavy dark black patina. Has several indentions else intact. Peru, c. 1200-1400 A.D. $100.00

A650 A wonderful Lambayeque grayware spherical shaped bottle on a geometrical carved flaring base. The upper body featuring a central king figure, the spout emmanating from his crown, two feline heads adorn his sides. Surrounding him are four relief humans with upraised heads, the handle with a fifth human, his head missing from ancient times. In solid, excellent condition at 8 1/2 inches tall. Creates a low base bellow when lightly blowing into spout. A high quality ceramic. Sican, Peru, c. 700-900 A.D. $600.00

A724 Stunning and vibrant orange Chavin bottle. The spherical body sits on a flattened base and surmounted with a tall stirrup spout. Body painted with brown and cream bands and semi-circles, possibly representing stylized human faces showing the outline of the face, bridge of nose, eyebrows, and eyes. A wonderful and colorful example sitting 8 3/4 inches tall and solid, intact condition with a few surface scrapes and strong ancient patina. Chavin, Peru, c. 400 B.C. $800.00

MP217 Large and out of the norm Moche storage container depicting a standing shaman in molded relief wearing a long cloak or robe. Vessel stands an impressive 13 inches tall with a polished golden brown surface painted in deep brown and white with details of a man wearing a small cap with a feline head, large earspools, a beaded necklace, and cream waistband and loin cover. The face with curling moustache and goatee in brown, his torso with triangular patterns, possibly the designs of a tunic, and he holds a bone knife in right hand. The backside painted overall in cream and with strong ancient deposits and wear designating how it rested through the centuries. Vessel is in as was found condition save one very small puncture hole. A beauty! Moche, Peru, c. 500-700 A.D. $1,750.00

A678 A small Nazca polychrome cup with bold white panel on upper half decorated with two bands of alternating red and brown small tadpole designs. At center is red band and a wide dark brown panel beneath with repeating series of two white vertical stripes. A very simple yet elegant design. Cup sits upright well at nearly 4 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/2 inch diameter, with light mineral deposits inside and out. One area at rim with small area of expertly matching repair else intact and solid. Nazca, Peru, c. 400 A.D. $250.00

A653 A fine pair of Mochica warrior deity effigy jars. The pair, each depicting a warrior on one bent knee, wearing large cloaks, and tunics, their backside terminating in a striped bee's body. They hold a small shield in left hand and war club in right. Quite an unusual effigy and more so as a pair. Painted with yellow surface and brown details at 5 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches long. One vessel is in excellent condition, the other with repaired crack on base and expertly matching fill in area on lower right side. Peru, c. 300-600 A.D. $950.00

A667 A Huari face jar showing a vivid red face, probably male, with tattooing in black and yellow extending from the eyes and across the cheeks, hair separated at the ears and bordered with a yellow, gray, red, and white band. Jar sits 3 3/4 inches tall with diameter of nearly 5 inches and with several small nicks are rim repaired and a light stress line on right side of face, an area of fragmentary loss just below the eye. Huari culture of Peru, c. 500-700 A.D. $250.00

A657 A very large Chavin human effigy bottle. The figure features relief formed arching legs and applied arms with hands, his face with coffee bean eyes, a small nose, open mouth, and short conical cap. Overall with incised details including scarified face, spiraled cap, a large incised necklace surrounding the upper body. Exhibits low relief legs, and various panels on backside and underside of vessel. Quite an impressive size at approximately. 10 3/4 inches tall and 8 inch diameter and amazingly in solid condition with various surface erosion areas and strong patina, only a small chip to spout and two others on right arm. Wonderful display piece with a beautiful orange/ rust clouded finish. Peru, c. 800-400 B.C. $1,500.00

A652 A fine and choice Chavin necklace comprised of a wonderful group of symmetrical sets of green stone, blue sodalite, and turqoise round and cylindrical beads. Overall measures just over 22 inches long and wearable. All beads with great polish, a few beads with chips. One of the most attractive Chavin necklaces I have seen. Restrung with gold loop and ready to wear. Peru, c. 1000-500 B.C. $800.00

A654 A Viru 'cornpopper' vessel. The lentoid body measures nearly 7 inches in diameter, and 10 1/2 inches long including the handle that terminates in a long animal head with raised nose, wide mouth, and tall ears, probably a llama. Vessel is in solid, excellent condition, the animal's ears both with repair, and painted with geometric panels and bands in deep brown. Underside with very faded similar patterns. A nice example. Peru, c. 100 B.C.-200 A.D. $400.00
